I'd like to welcome everybody today's presentation on sex hormones and your mood.

Last week, we talked a lot about the different neurotransmitters, serotonin, gabba, dopamine, yada, yada.

But there are a lot of other things that contribute to the availability of serotonin,

GABA, dopamine, or epinephrine, and those are all, those all influence one another.

So we're going to talk about that today because again, like I've mentioned repeatedly,

just throwing an SSRI at depression or throwing a benzodiazepine at anxiety, it may mask

the symptoms for a while, but it's not addressing the underlying cause.

So we want to figure out, is this person's serotonin system really not working?

Or maybe is it their sex hormones, their estrogen, their testosterone, their progesterone,

are those not working really well?
