Acts 15 and 36 tells us an interesting story about Paul and Barnabas.

And it says in Acts 1536, after some time, Paul said to Barnabas, now y'all know who these guys were.

Paul was, of course, the writer of most of the New Testament, and he was a missionary, and Barnabas was a missionary

with him. They were together for a long period. And here in the 15th chapter, we read about

how they disagreed and split. At some time, Paul said to Barnabas, let's return to each city where we previously

preached the word of the Lord to see how the new believers are getting along. Barnabas agreed

and wanted to take along John Mark, but Paul disagreed strongly. And, you know, there's no need

for scholars to try to figure out why they disagree

because the Bible tells us immediately following that. I don't understand how people try to

read stuff in the text. That's not there. Bible's telling you right here. But Paul disagreed

strongly since John Mark had deserted them in Pamplia and had not shared in their work. Bottom line, he wasn't a part of establishing these churches. Why should he come glory for this? And he abandoned us and didn't do the work in the first place. You know what I'm saying? So Paul is like, this is not fair for this guy to come now after he had abandoned us to go do something else. He ain't going to just come in. You know, you got to work your way up to what we're doing because we've been out here

laboring.

But Barnabas felt differently.

And the Bible says their disagreement over this was so sharp that they separated.

Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed off the Bible.

Look at somebody said, don't blow it.

Barnabas blew it.

And then Paul chose Silas

and the believers sent them off

entrusting them to the Lord's graces.

So we see a decision here that Paul and Barnabas made.
