Hi, I'm Margie and this is the first ever episode of my new podcast, Desert Island Dishes.

I'm pretty excited about this, but also have to admit, quite nervous. This is something I've been

thinking about doing for ages now, but for lots of different reasons, it's taken me a while

to actually get fun to it.

But here I am.

I really hope you enjoy listening,

and I'm so excited about getting to chat

to lots of interesting and inspiring people

who are all doing amazing things.

For me, this is a chance to combine my interests

in starting your own business, how you even go about doing that, and food. All things delicious and basically all that good stuff. Essentially, I guess this podcast is a chance for me to be really nosy, which is great. My first guest is the hilarious and charming Esther Walker or Esther Corrin,

depending on how you know her.

She's a writer and journalist, and everything she writes just makes me laugh out loud,

and it will be the same for you, I'm sure.

So that's enough of me waffling on.

Here it is my first ever interview. Eek.

I'm here with the wonderful Esther, sometimes Walker, sometimes Corrin. And this is the

beginning bit where I like to embarrass my

guest a little bit by reading them a short biography about just some of the amazing things that

they get up to. So Esther is a journalist who writes for the Times, Grazie, the Daily Telegraph,

the Daily Mail, and countless others. She is, incidentally, married to the Times restaurant critic Giles Corrin, and they have two children.

She's created not one but two amazing blogs, and she's written two books. So she is basically a superwoman.
