Earlier in my life, before I settled down, I was in a relationship that was not doing so well. And so we went to couples therapy to try to smooth it out.

It was a style of therapy called a Mago therapy.

Some of you may be familiar with this.

The principle, the idea of it is that you base your partner

and your partner tells you an issue they're having and then you repeat it back.

I really like this therapist, but I struggled with it because when my partner started talking,

it became a little disjointed and I had a hard time following the

logic of it and when I can't follow logic I have a hard time remembering. And so

then when it was my turn to repeat it back to her, I had to admit that I tried to piece together what I did remember and she started getting upset that like, no, I also said this and I didn't say that and I had to admit to the therapist again whom I really like that

you know I'm struggling to just remember and he had to say to her it's okay like he

he's remembering as best he can you know, and I wanted to do it.

I really believe in therapy, we talk about it a lot,

and I was actually excited to be going,

but I had a hard time just remember him.

Nice try, but the good news is that not working out led to me being in a very healthy loving safe relationship.
