When I watch a movie that has any kind of basis in reality we get to the end and I have this

situation that develops and like all right there's a deal movie you are either

gonna give me the black screen with the white letters on it that tells me what

happened next in everybody's life or I'm googling this thing right now. I will do it.

Give me the thing. I want pictures of the actual people right next to the actors who portrayed

them so I can be like, oh look what you did there, you've even got that polo shirt just right,

and I want to know what happened. I'm going to sit here through the credits.

I'm not going to watch who made this movie and I'm going to Google all the details.

Well we kind of get one of those black screens with white letters over the top here at the end of Esther where the drama stuff is really played out and now we're into mop up wrap up but oh wow I got to be careful that makes it sound like you shouldn't listen anymore for the next couple of weeks like well yeah we're just I mean all the fun is over now we're into this stupid boring wrap up stuff no it's not like that at all I I think we're going to do the wrap up stuff, the home stretch, the rest of chapter 9 and into chapter 10, probably today and tomorrow, ish. And then that's it. Then we got to go and we got to think about what we just read and we got to find out what happened to everybody after the book of Esther is over.

We got a few other things that we got to reflect on regarding the themes in this book and ultimately we still got a

take a minute and think about what we do with this is there anything that in a

practical sense you're supposed to take from this that you do differently with your life?

I'm not sure I've decided one way or another on that yet, but we're going to get to all of that still but today

represents the beginning of the white letters on the black screen talking about how stuff

played out and it goes thusly. Esther 9 verse 20. Mordecai recorded these events.

Mordecai recorded these events and he sent letters to all the Jews throughout the provinces of King

Xerxes near and far to have them celebrate annually the 14th and 15th days of the month of Adar as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy

and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.

That might have been too much. That was too much. I haven't earned that kind of seniority in my voice yet. I got to age more. I got to achieve more things. You get the idea. It's clearly shifted into wrap-up tone, right?
