Hey everybody, it's Matt, this is the 10 Minute Bible Hour Podcast, and over the course

of my life, there have been a bunch of little principles of negotiating and relationships

and things like that that I've heard people mention, and they really stick with me.

One of those, I think we've talked about it before, I've heard in the motion picture

money ball as Brad Pitt's character, he gets the answer he wants from somebody he's

trying to negotiate with as soon as he gets to, he says, our great thanks.

He hangs up the phone and they're the dude in the room, it's like, what are you doing?

That was really rude.

He's like, okay, when you get the answer, you want, hang up the phone, huh?

That one is stuck with me.

I'm not sure I totally do it, but it's max of truth and it has stuck with me.

Another one that is stuck with me, and I don't remember where I heard somebody say it first,

but it's a principle of don't negotiate against yourself, and on Facebook or something will

be listed in some dumb thing that we're wanting to sell or whatever, and people will, right,

you just ridiculous messages when you do this and the one that you always get and you

all are yelling it already because you know what it is, because if you've ever sold

anything on the internet, you know, this is the one you hear in Craigslist, Facebook

or whatever, it's always, well, what's the lowest you'll go?

Well, first is, do you still have the thing?

Yes, I still have the thing.

That's the lowest you'll take, and I just, I don't even answer those.

And maybe that's rude.
