Flyers have hired not only Rick Tocket as their head coach.

Last week they announced the hiring of their assistant coaches,

including Yaroslav Sakev, a former skills coach and assistant coach in Vancouver,

with whom you had some time, Rachel, while you were in Vancouver.

So I want to know just, what are we in for with the man they call yogi?

Yeah, so it's extremely funny that he came to Philadelphia and immediately anglified his name

because he was like, no one in Pennsylvania can pronounce my actual name. But yeah,

nobody calls him Yaroslav. It's yogi. And you actually say his name, Sveckovsky.

See, that's what I thought. And Charlie told me it's Sikovsky. It is absolutely not. He, and how do I

know this? I asked him. So I feel like that's a pretty good source.

But he's also the guy that's like, just say whatever you want.

Like he does not care.

This is a guy who when he got started in his like NHL kind of circles was living out

of his van so that he could constantly be where his players needed him to be.

Like, that's the level of dedication that Yogi has to the sport, to his players, to anything.

So this guy is all in all the time.

It doesn't surprise me that Rick Tocke took a liking to him.

Because when I was in Vancouver, before training camp started, you know how players have those like informal skates and like no one's allowed to actually

be on the ice.

Well, because Yogi was a skills coach and he wasn't on the Canucks coaching staff.

He would show up at the rink and they would ask him to draw drills.

So he would stand on the bench and draw the drills and they would all go do them.
