We are here Thursday in Seaport.

David Stern passed away New Year's Day, 77 years old.

Hall Fame Commissioner, 30 years running the league.

Jay, when you think of David Stern,

every player, they think of Draft Night

and every kid of your generation grew up dreaming of

shaking David Stern's hands.

Now they're kids who don't know David Stern.

They say Adam Silver and it changes.

But beyond draft night, when you're a player in the NBA, at the time you played in the league,

which really was a little bit the back end of his tenure, not the end, but the back end, how is he viewed by you, your peers?

How did you look at Ster?

He was widely respected.

He always seemed to have his fingers on the pulse as it was relative to making sure that everybody was moving in concert.

And when I mean everyone, I'm talking about ownership management players.

There were some turbulent times when you do a job for 30 years.

That's going to happen.
