Good evening, my name is Paul and I'm an alcoholic and it's good to be here and it's

good to be sober and I want to thank the committee and anybody made a possible for me

stand behind the podium here tonight.

I know these things don't come together by accident so I appreciate all the hard work

and service that went into the night and like make sand there about meeting all those

years ago.

Alcoholics Anonymous is one of the few places in the world that you can walk in the roomful

of strangers and start reminiscing, you know, you know, we might as stood next to each

other at the bar drinking but we understand, you know, tarrow of frustration and the

ultimate and despair of all been there, you know, we're sitting here sober tonight.

I absolutely love alcoholics Anonymous and just like to tell you a couple of, I see

a lot of young people here so maybe you get a kick out of this, a couple of jokes I often

tell.

There's a guy who is like 90 days sober and he's talking to a sponsor and the sponsor

says, and I just think we were just 90 days ago and the guy says, well, actually I'll

sit in a hot tub, have drunk, surrounded by beautiful women and bikinis and the sponsor

says, isn't it wonderful that you don't have to live like that anymore today, you know?
