Good evening, my name is Lynn and I'm an alcoholic.

What an experience it's been already, this Texan hospitality is just wonderful, thank you

for welcoming me as I'm a member of your family and I want to thank the committee who've

been working, preparing this for us, they worked all year and to me they are the true heroes

of alcoholic synonymous, doing the work behind the stage.

Quietly but diligently so we can be together this weekend and enlarge our spiritual life

in working with others so that we can follow through the low spots and the trials ahead.

So thank you so much for giving me a commitment and alcoholic synonymous, I love to pepper

my calendar with those commitments, they make me feel anchored and safe in my sobriety.

I must tell you that I have known Betty Dale and I want to thank her specifically for

calling me throughout the year, we met in a woman's retreat three years ago in Soledo and

she was an Allen on speaker and I was an A.A. speaker and we shared the room and so

it's time to retire in the evening and she was telling me how her feet hurt so I offered

her a foot massage and she was telling the story to a group yesterday and she thought this

is so strange, a woman who doesn't know me and she wants to massage my feet and so finally

she let me in the massage her feet and the other part of the story was that afterwards she

said by the way I hope you don't mind but I got my gun.
