Sitting down there in the center is my bride of 23 years as of three weeks ago Betty. I was particularly pleased to hear Sally say last night that her parents had been transferred to St. John's Newfoundland.

It made me feel at home because I was born in Newfoundland and it's rather peculiar that a Canadian from

Eastern Canada some time ago would come to the southeast and would find the the marvelous warmth

and hospitality that you provide and not that, the love and understanding, as someone said today to us that we were a long way from home.

And I, without intending to be critical, said, no, we're a long way from where we live.

Because this really is very much like home to us.

And a lot of my sobriety and our recovery is indeed tied up in southeastern United States in

Atlanta and Chattanooga and Florida.
