All right, okay, so like Emily said, I'm Lauren, I'm an alcoholic.

Hi y'all, my sobriety day is September 22nd, 2007, and psychic change is my home group.

When Robin asked me to speak, I was like, yes, she's like, you're going to be recorded.

I was like, okay, and so here we are, and for the most part, what I'm going to tell

y'all tonight is what happened, what it was like, and what it's like now, and it's also

my experience, strength, and hope.

It's basically, for me, it's what works for me, because that's all I can speak about

is what I've experienced.

So, all right, I'm from Mobile, Alabama, I'm from LA, and I'm the only child, and my mom

is, she introduced me to this program when I was eight, however I did not come in at

eight years old.

I came in for the first time when I was 19, and people always talk about how they felt

different, or that kind of stuff, I really didn't know what, I don't think for a long time

I ever knew what I was feeling, so I could never really identify it as being different

or anything.

I just know that I felt grown up ever since I was a little girl, like my mind was a lot
