Hi, my name is Kathy Bias, and I'm an alcoholic.

And today I know that.

100%, I know in my innermost soul that I'm an alcoholic and the illusion that I can drink like other people is smashed.

And I spent almost 13 years in this program and didn't know that.

I thought that I was, 90% of me thought I was an alcoholic.

80 to 90% at any given time thought I was an alcoholic.

But that was just enough for what my sponsor called Slick, the disease for Slick to get in

there.

And after almost 13 years for me to think it was okay to drink again.

And I'll talk about that more in my story. Like I said, my name's Kathy

I'm an alcoholic. I sponsor. I have a sponsor. I have the best home group in the world,

the fifth edition. I love this home group, and I've just been a member for about three months,

and I've been looking for a home group like this for years.

So it's just, you know, it's wonderful.

And all I can say is if you're not proud of your home group and love your home group,

then get another one because I've never felt so plugged in before to a home group.
