Alcohol has always been a part of my life.

As a very young girl I can remember seeing a cocktail glass with some kind of amber liquor

that I thought was just so pretty and you know it makes that tinkly tink sound when the ice cubes hit the glass.

alcohol was how you had fun. My mom and dad always drank. Their friends always drank. We were allowed to have wine with dinner occasionally,

give it to my dad. He didn't really think that was funny. My first drink was probably when I was, you know, a little girl, three, four years old,

probably the same age as my oldest daughter now. I mean, it wasn't an alcoholic drink. It just you know dad given me a sip but the first

time I drank alcoholically I had I think probably two bottles of cold duct to myself

I was 13 years old, I threw up, blacked out and passed out, and I could not wait to do it again the next weekend.
