If you'll notice on your program that that isn't exactly right, if what I say today you

don't agree with, my name's in, is Norm A. And if you like anything I say then my name is

Jackson, and I too have an alcoholic. Norm found that he has a daughter who all of a sudden

grew up and graduates tonight and so he couldn't be here. And I was very happy to be

asked to stand in his stead and Norm and I see along the same lines in the philosophy of

alcoholic synonymous, so you'll hear about the same as I think we do in all the meetings.

But since I do substitute once in a while for people like this, I like to introduce as I did

just to protect myself. You know, like me, I didn't like all because I'll tell you that the

notes I have are the ones he gave me on the way up here. So most gratifying to be here at this

particular conference I've heard about these for some time of course and I've never had the

opportunity to be in the area when you were holding one and to sit here last night in this room

filled with as many people as who were here, just to hear about one man's experience

prior to AA had the results of it coming here or as most gratifying and I think speak very

highly for the organization itself about alcoholic synonymous, but perhaps more so to the

personal philosophy that each of us who come here seems to derive from the examples and the

experiences of those who preceded us. Dick is a really wonderful guy you've heard him last night.
