I'm an alcoholic.

First of all, I like to thank you for being here. It's a great honor

and privilege to be stood here. Looking at you guys here like it's sort of, I'm thinking,

is this the Belgian version of the Coliseum, you know?

I feel as if I've been, I'm about to be thrown to the drunks.

I'll try not to give you a drunk a log. I won't insult you with that because I think most of you know

what it's like you've been there done that and got the t-shirt

but time to time I will refer to where I've been and how I managed to get here.

I've been an active, very active alcoholic addict for in excess of 30 years and I didn't

know why I found out later that it was because alcohol altered my perception of reality

took me from the boring shitty life I got to somewhere special to somewhere brilliant where I could be who I wanted to be who I thought I should be.

Well, fortunately it had taken me back and then I'd go back and over a long time, too long, too much too often often I was physically addicted to it and then mentally as well.

So you know I was in a no-win situation but me being the arrogant shit that I am I wouldn't have that. I was quite

successful, lazy but a perfectionist. I had I had an excellent memory so it pickled now that's why I've got this piece of paper.

I had an excellent memory so I floated through all exams given to me.
