I do not intend to be here for an hour and a half, But I will share with you a little bit of my story.

First of all, I want to thank Chris and the grapevine committees for asking me to be here.

I couldn't be here last year. I was out of town. And so I'm delighted to be back here and to be here invited guest.

I didn't imagine that it was this wonderful. People had told me what a great fun it was and how

beautiful and it is, all of that. And I thank the committee for asking me. My story begins in

Pennsylvania. And I was an only child, and I really

believed that being an only child helps in getting to be an alcoholic. I was self-centered

from the very beginning. I didn't understand the word in the big book of selfishness,

because I was taught to be

unselfish with things. And it wasn't until I came into Alcoholics Anonymous to find out that I

had never learned to be unselfish with me, with my inner feelings. But I had a good, wonderful

childhood. And the place that we went to in the summertime in the mountains

we always had bonfires just like this one tonight and we roasted our hot dogs and winies we

called them and then marshmallows and corn corn in the husks and it was marvelous food and marvelous times as a young girl growing up.

I had a very privileged childhood.

I was taught many good things at Sunday school and church.
