I'm Garth and I'm alcoholic.

Firstly, I want to thank the committee for the kindness and for this opportunity to do

help and share what I was like and how I got better.

I think the first thing I should do is explain why you got me.

Tonight instead of the speaker that's on the program, it's like this.

Both two and a half weeks ago, one of the young guys that I sponsored, where we're

working together on the steps that night we're working on four and five and six and seven.

And some of the defects that I had talked to Michael about were my tendency to criticize

and pass judgment and gossip about and at the end of our prayer.

He said, you're going to the conference this weekend and I said, well, yeah, probably will.

He said, you know who's coming and he went through a list of the speakers.

And I don't know what the hell got into me, but I went into a tire out of gossip and judgment.

I said, these circuit speakers coming from far away and it was awful really.

And it wasn't based on fact either.

Now, I felt real bad.
