Good evening, my name is Gabe, I am an alcoholic.

I'm not going to need that thing in a minute, I can tell you that right now.

What it was like, what happened and what it's like today.

What happened was, I drink a lot of booze and I got a lot of trouble.

I did things that men shouldn't do.

I did things that human beings shouldn't do.

I come from a family of 10 kids, I was number 9 out of 10.

I did a nine year old boy used to hide in the closet with my little brothers and sisters

and hold them while my mom and dad fought in our drunken stupidity.

And I grew up real scared, real scared.

17 years old, the judge decided it was time for me to go someplace else and he gave me

a choice between the United States Army and somewhere else and I joined the United States

Army.

And I did a lot of really interesting things for a few years in the Army.

I got to jump out airplanes and blow things up all over the world.
