how is everybody tonight and i am an alcoholic true and blue um wow such an honor and a privilege to be here or to be anywhere, for that matter.

I was about this far from death when I got in these rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous for the second time.

I want to take just a minute to thank all of you for coming tonight

and to thank Allison because she's just a gym and she leave me messages. I love the way you

talk down here. I mean, I just get excited listening to you. And it was some phrase you used earlier

and I thought, oh wow, that's, I got to take that back home with me.

I know that I stand here tonight in a room of giants, from the newcomer that dragged theirself in here to the old timer that's been around here for 37 years.

I am among giants, and I'm really grateful that I

know that today because there was a time where I didn't think you guys were giants at all.

And I also want to take a minute to thank the folks that decorated and Donna and everybody

that put this thing together, I know what a trick it is to

pull one of these deals off every year. And so I know that behind the scenes, everybody worked

really hard. And I love being the kickoff speaker on Friday night because after this,

I'm done. And I get to go play with y'all all weekend. And those that missed the talk tonight, they won't be able to give me a hard time.

And you guys will.

So that's a great thing.

When they asked me to come and speak for this Fourth Dimension conference, I just, it blew me away.

My home group is the South City group in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and if you ever get a chance

to come that way, you'll always see Pete there.
