Hi, I'm an alcoholic.

And I just want to first thank the committee for inviting me to come here and speak tonight.

I can tell you that it is an honor and a privilege.

When I received the phone call, I thought it's about time they recognized to I think I am.

And my next thought was, oh my God, can I get sick or a pass on doing this just to let you know I want to thank Julie for the

introduction and for chairing this meeting and I am so grateful to be here and to see all of you.

I want to recognize, and I'll probably,

I may be brought to tears, but there's Chris and Terry from my old home group in Los Angeles and it's just so

wonderful to see them here and then I have two women here from my home for, one from my home group.

By the way, there are only three women in my home group.

So tonight is our meeting.

So Janet will have to hold up the fort for us.

Anyway, I am grateful to be here and grateful to be part of Alcoholics Anonymous

and I'll get into it later, but this conference is very near and dear to me because when I first got here from LA, only a couple months later I got to be here and I felt the joy of Alcoholics anonymous and I'm excited.
