Good morning, my name is Clara,

and I'm an alcoholic.

I'm grateful to be sober and a proud member of the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.

And I'd like to thank Suzanne and Charlie and the committee for the wonderful hospitality that you've shown us and I'd like to thank Tony for being the perfect

coasters and I'd like to thank you for your warm welcome and the high energy and love I felt in this conference this weekend.

It's only by the grace of God and this program that I stand here sober this morning.

And as I look at your smiling faces, I always feel the same feeling as if I am standing in the sunlight of the spirit.

And little did I know when I sat in my first meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous that my life indeed was going to be rocketed

into a fourth dimension of living.

I'd like to bring you greetings from my home group, the Robertson originals.

And they're meeting this morning, and that's where I usually am on Sunday mornings when I'm in Los Angeles.

It's been a long road to stand here.

By the time I got the Alcoholics Anonymous, I was living in the South Central section of Los Angeles in the ghetto, sick of living and scared of that.

The two young children and eight-year-old daughter and a nine-and-a-half-year-old son.
