And can you hear me okay? I really appreciate being invited up here.

I actually think about this group from time to time.

I don't think it was too long ago.

I thought, like, so why hasn't Bob called me?

Isn't Bob going to call me and invite me back?

And Bob did call me and invited me up here.

And when we were confirming, I said to him that when I think of you, because I've met some of you in other rooms as well out on the AA road, I think of that thing Bill Wilson said, you know, that there's an oasis here, and it's great because it's a desert, you know, a veritable oasis.

You're a real bastion of

sobriety, and so it's wonderful to be here. I would also like to welcome the newcomers. I'm very

glad you're here. I don't know how you're feeling. I didn't feel particularly well when I was new,

but I feel great, and it's worth the weight.

What has happened for me is that I've been given a program,

and I believe that as long as I do what I think God's will is,

I've been given a program that matches calamity with serenity,

and it's a portable thing, and it means so much to me. I'm a fear-based

person without a program and my fear activates my defects. It's a miserable way to live,

drunk or sober. And I don't have to live like that anymore and neither do you if you are new.
