Where am I from?

I'm originally from Dallas, Texas, and then I moved to Dana Point, and then I moved to Seal Beach,

and I guess I've been out here in California for a little over two years now.

But, yes, originally from Dallas, Texas,

and that's where I got sober,

and I owe a lot to the people there in Dallas that showed me and told me and told me the truth about alcoholism.

My sobriety date is March the 25th of 2006, so I will have four years this week, which is

unbelievable.

I mean, time goes by so fast.

I remember, you know, when my sponsor started sponsoring me, she had a few months, and I thought that was incredible. She had like four months, and I just, how do you get four months? And her sponsor had a couple years, and oh my gosh, how do you get a couple of years? And it just flies by, and it's cool because I forget my sobriety date.

I really do.

It is a really, really important date, and I value the date, and I will never forget it.

But I don't have to mark off on the calendar anymore every day that I don't drink.
