And my sobriety date is August 1st of 2007.

And, um, though, technically my last drink was July 30th of 2007. But I personally, for myself, define my sobriety by an active life in Alcoholics Anonymous.

And so on August 1st of 2007, I walked into my first meeting.

And I cried like a baby.

And there were things going on in that room that I did not understand.

And some of them, I've come understand are, have nothing really to do with AA.

I just happened to walk into this meeting.
