I want to thank whoever asked me to speak, I don't know if it was Brian or Larry, but thank

Congratulations to the birthday people, and thank you for your 10 minutes.

Our stories are very similar, so I feel like we should just go home.

I, um, I, you know, I'll just get into it like I, uh, I was born, I was adopted into

a, what I perceive to be a very normal family, um, I've gotten a little bit more clarity

on that over the years, but they're like surprisingly well-adjusted and, and just lovely.

They're just lovely people and I don't identify with that at all.

I, um, I grew up always feeling different and apart from, and never okay in my own

skin.

I felt like everybody else seemed to have like gotten a manual or a rulebook for life

that I just was not equipped with, and I always thought it was because I was adopted

that I never felt okay.

And, um, you know, I just, I was an uncomfortable kid, like I was, I never could just be with

my peers.

I got restless, irritable, and discontent, you know, far before I took a drink.
