I'm Mama Jules, and let's get caught up on the gun fight,

the prison escape, the double murder,

and the capture of two suspects in Idaho that all happened

over a 72 hour period. Okay let's go back to where the two suspects met and

the crimes they previously committed.

For three years, 31-year-old Skyler Mead

and 28-year-old Nicholas Umphenauer

were housed in the Idaho Maximum Security Prison

together.

Mead had been in prison since 2016 for charges that included aggravated battery on a law

enforcement officer with a firearm enhancement because he shot at a Twin Falls Idaho Sheriff Sheriff Sergeant during a high-speed car chase.

And it seems he was fleeing a traffic stop when he crashed the car and then the shooting occurred.
