As the chief champion of self-education and continual learning, this probably sounds like

an odd statement for me to make.

But here is the conundrum I think we find ourselves in.

For any achiever, learning is not what we lack. In fact, like an odd statement for me to make. But here is the conundrum I think we find ourselves in.

In fact, it might actually be what's bottlenecking us.

We have a never-ending flow of ideas, tips,

and quotes, and suggestions, and advice constantly being pumped at

as from every social media source or billboard or bus bench or what have you.

We're swimming in a sea of infinite information. We are paddling like crazy just to keep our

nose above the water of all this noise. It can be exhausting, right? We read an article and then we move

on to what's next. We listen to an audio and then we seek the next. We finish a book and then we start the next. And therein lies the problem. We are reading a lot, seemingly

learning a lot, but never really stopping long enough to digest, contemplate, actually act on any

idea, then review that action and its results and then improve on anything that we just learned.
