And today we bring you part two of two of our presentation of Martian Chronicles by

Cori Doctoro. Cori is a science fiction author, activist and journalist, the co-editor of Boing Boing

and the author of many books, most recently radicalized and walk away, science fiction for

adults, in real life, a graphic novel, information doesn't want to be free a book

about earning a living in the internet age and homeland a why a sequel to little brother find

out more about him at craphound dot com It's narrated by our own Adam Proct. Adam lives in Kansas but

ask that you not hold that against him. His full-time day job is as a marketing and

volume purchasing program coordinator but by 90 fights crime and his co-producer of a Skate Pod.

He was the 2002 College recipient of the Robert F. Kennedy Award for writing about The

Disadvantaged and has published a volume of short stories called Frame Story, 7 stories of sci-fi and fantasy, horror and humor.

This story first ran in the anthology Life on Mars.

I didn't go back to the junior colonist lounge for a whole week.

Instead, I spent the time with my dad, who seemed pleasantly surprised that his son wanted to hang out with him.

It made me feel bad, like I'd been neglecting him.

But it also made me ask myself why my father didn't think it was

weird that I wasn't spending any time with kids my age. Dad had always been busy on earth, traveling half the time for work, spending his time

at home with his computer over his face, barking angrily at it while his hands work the keyboard, like a mad player attacking a church organ.

I didn't mind, to be honest.
