Hi, everyone, and welcome to part two of my conversation with Samantha.

It's and she's someone who has an interesting story to share

because she comes at this kind of in a different way than a lot of other people I interview.

She actually has a site on social media called an accidental Scientologist.com. So feel free to

check it out. She's someone who was on the staff of a place

called Narcanon, one of the Scientology Treatment Centers. And in this part of my interview with her,

she talks about what it was like day to day, but also how she finally got out, how much effort

it took, and also the trauma that she dealt with for many, many years afterwards.

I'm so happy that she's coming on today to tell the second part of her story, and here she is. So I want to welcome, I want to welcome Samantha back to

this show. And we started a conversation that was very powerful and moving. And her story is

unique in so many ways because it has this

interesting permutation of having been in Scientology without necessarily being a Scientologist

and that that's true for a number of people and it's important for people to know. So Samantha,

I thank you for coming on again and talking. And I know what you would like

to be able to do is to get more into your story with more specific. So take me back to wherever

you'd like to start the story again and kind of fill in more details. Okay, sure. Hi, Rachel.

Let's go back to the Rodney King riots, the L.A. Riots was a

big turning point. Most of L.A. was on fire and it was like a war zone, basically. And I was due to

go into work on, you know, going to Narcanon. And I didn't go. I went and borrowed a phone at the office of the apartment building and told them I wasn't coming.

And that was completely unacceptable.
