Escape from Monkey Island is a point-and-click style game, albeit one with sort of direct controls, but actually tank controls.

It's another comedy pirate-themed graphic adventure and, of course, the sequel to the curse

of Monkey Island and therefore the fourth game in Lucasfilm, LucasArts, Monkey Island series

of games.

It was developed by LucasArts, although Westlake

Interactive handled the Mac port. It was published by LucasArts, although Aspire Media handled

the Mac port. It was designed and directed by Sean Clark and Michael Stemmel, previously

of mainly Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis

and Sam and Max hit the road. No previous Monkey Island experience. Most of those developers

had moved on by this point. They also wrote the game. Obviously Ron Gilbert gets a credit for characters. The lead artist is

Chris Miles, who previously worked on The Dig, which was the more old-school scum Lucas Film Adventure

that had a story input from Steven Spielberg. Some members of the team who did return are the musicians,
