and recovery.

You may know me from my blog Unpickled.

That's where I've been writing about life after alcohol since my very first day of sobriety

in 2011.

I tell my story there and I invite you to share your stories

here. And as you may have noticed, it's been a whole month since my last episode. I lost a month.

You know, we have blackouts sometimes in our drinking lives. It turns out you can have

blackouts in sobriety.

Apparently, I was having the most wonderful time at the lake,

and I had to meet up with some friends from high school who I hadn't seen in decades,

and sadly a funeral to attend, and I was just busy, busy, busy, busy,

and all of a sudden I looked at my calendar and went, oh, my goodness, it's been a whole month since I got to talk to someone for the bubble hour.

So I'm back on it, guys.

I'm back, and I've been missing you, and I've been missing the wonder of sharing bubble hour stories.

So sometimes I feel like when we listen to other people on podcasts or read their

blogs, it seems like they have a lot more opportunities to connect with people than it

feels like when we're at home looking after our own recovery.

And I certainly felt that way.
