If a state office is partnering with a political activist group to register students to vote,

does that blur the line between government outreach and political organizing?

So you've got some top Republican officials in Indy.

They're deepening their ties with the conservative activist group.

Turning Point USA.

Secretary of State Diego Diego Morales.

He announced a voter registration partnership with Turning Point's Youth Arm Club America.

He could not race to the podium fast enough.

Governor Mike Braun was going to make an announcement,

and he was beat by his own Secretary of State with that announcement.

This partnership is going to host voter registration drives on high school campuses and also promote the states,

Hoosier Hall Pass program that lets eligible teens serve as poll workers.

Now, supporters are going to say that this is encouraging young people

to participate in elections. Sure. You got critics. They're going to say it looks like the government

picking sides in youth political ecosystem. But what I think this is doing is it's showing for

whatever reason because they need the voters.

They want to get people encouraged because their polling numbers are not so hot.

The Republicans, they're making an effort to at least meet these younger voters where they actually are and put boots on the ground for their

cause. What I love about this is the liberals and the Democrats are losing their mind for a lot of

the reasons that you just mentioned, taking a clearly politically affiliated group like TPP USA

and bringing them into the school systems. But all this is is the Republicans taking a page
