Hi folks, I hope this finds you well. If you can hear the sounds of dogs barking, the crunch underfoot of walking boots, that's because I am in a car park at Poppet Bay Beach on the west coast of Wales, about to take my doggy for a walk and in the meantime bringing you our latest episode of

soundtracking which is a bit of a bonus episode that's because there's loads of great stuff

around at the minute that we're so eager to talk about and share with you so it's been a

lovely couple of days here in wells but that is for another time and another story And I want to tell you about our latest guest on soundtracking.

I've had this done actually for a few, maybe about a month actually, just waiting for the right time to share it with you.

We've had quite a few cinematic releases that we've had to tie in with them being out in cinemas.

But this one is now available for you guys to watch on apple tv the film is

called fancy dance and it is co-written and directed by erika trembly who is our guest on this episode

of soundtracking as i said fancy dance is streaming now on apple tv and i highly recommend that you go and watch this.

Fancy dance tells the story of Jax's who's cared for her niece on the Seneca Cayuga Reservation

in Oklahoma since the disappearance of her sister.

Every spare minute Jax has goes into finding her missing sister and helping her niece prepare for an upcoming powwow.

This film stars Lily Gladstone in the role of Jax and it's just really wonderful to see

Lily continue her journey of telling stories that are so connected to her heritage and her youth

and really using the platform that she now has after

the success of Killers of the Flower Moon to make sure a bigger, wider audience are hearing

and seeing these stories.

I absolutely love this character.

I love the relationship between niece and aunt and I love the way that Erica has depicted these female

characters in this film. Before we speak to Erica, I wanted to say thank you for the lovely comments
