And you're listening to The Suburban Women Problem. We've been talking about the rights push for parents' rights

all year, and there are so many ways that manifest through banning books, banning sex ed

classes, banning rainbow flags and classrooms, and another thing they don't want our kids

learning about is race. Whether it's DeSantis banning AP African

American Studies or the thousands of little ways that students of color are treated unequally

every single day, we need to make sure we're providing a safe and equitable space for our students.

So this week, I sat down with founders of school board partners,

an organization that connects and supports anti-racist school board members across the country.

And before that, we'll chat with Maya Guy, a mom in Virginia, who ran for school board to

stand up for the kids in her district.
