1:06.3	So Whitney, when you first started writing this series for Mint Press News, Epstein was still alive and now he's dead.
1:14.8	How did that personally feel for you to start this series when he was still alive and well and finish it when he was dead?
1:26.7	You know, honestly, I thought he was going to last a little bit longer, but I think a lot of
1:31.8	people, not just me, right, definitely thought that he probably wasn't going to make it to testify.
1:37.5	And that's just because, you know, of other people in the past, right, that have, you know,
1:43.5	testified against powerful people. It's not,
1:46.3	it's kind of common, actually, that an accident happens or something happens that prevents them
1:51.5	from testifying. And so, like, you know, for example, Leslie Wexner, who of course is closely
1:57.4	associated with Jeffrey Epstein, in 1985, his lawyer was going to testify
2:02.8	in front of a grand jury about tax evasion and offshore tax havens. And he was shot in the
2:10.2	face the day before and didn't make it. Right. So if we're just even looking at the history of,
2:15.9	you know, people associated with Jeffrey Epstein, it's pretty consistent that someone who, by all indications, Epstein, according to his lawyers, before he died, was going to, was willing to, you know, collaborate with federal officials.
2:33.3	There's definitely a long list of people
2:35.7	who would have been interested in him not cooperating with officials in going forward.
