Hi from CNN, I'm Josh and Chana with the Five Things You Need to Know for Thursday, November 20th.

President Donald Trump has now signed the bill to release all the case files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

He shared the news in a lengthy social media post, calling the move a push for transparency while also taking jabs at some Democrats for their

past connections with Epstein. So the big question now is, what happens next?

Well, by law, the measure requires the Justice Department to release all investigative files,

documents and other materials about Epstein, with some exceptions, within 30 days of it becoming

law.

And it's these exceptions that could provide a possible loophole for the government, as CNN

senior legal analyst Ellie Honig explains.

The law requires DOJ to redact out any information relating to the victims or their identities.

Of course, that's to protect the victim's confidentiality.

And the law allows DOJ to withhold information relating to ongoing criminal investigation.

So that's going to be up to the Attorney General, the FBI director. What information relates to

an ongoing case, therefore they can withhold it, and what information

do they want to put out? So we should expect to see most, but probably not all, of the Epstein

files in the coming days and weeks.
