Attorney General Pam Bondi told President Donald Trump in May that his name appeared several

times in the Jeffrey Epstein files, along with other high-profile figures.

That's according to sources familiar with the discussion.

White House officials characterized the conversation as a, quote,

routine briefing that covered the scope of what the Justice Department found in its review of the

Epstein case. The sources said the files appeared to include several unsubstantiated claims they found

not to be credible, including those related to Trump. It's among the latest developments on the case today.

Earlier, a Florida federal judge declined to release more grand jury documents from the criminal

investigation into Epstein, marking the first roadblock in the Justice Department's efforts

to quell the public backlash over the handling of the case.

A different federal judge rejected a request from Galane Maxwell, Epstein's former accomplice,

to view grand jury material. Meanwhile, House Oversight Chair James Comer has subpoenaed Maxwell

for a deposition to take place at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee next month.
