There's a big show being made by the Trump administration of trying to be transparent

by making an effort to get

over this gigantic, really substantial, well-understood, longstanding legal hurdle and say,

we tried to get the grand jury information released, this stupid idiot judge or three idiot judges

because there are three different motions to unseal

the grand jury material. These three idiot judges stood in our way and there's nothing we can do

about it and hope that people don't draw the distinction between grand jury material and all the

other stuff, which is much, much more in their discretion to release. Is that too cynical?

No, and I think that there's even

something more cynical at play here, which is that, you know, we spent a lot of time talking

about Trump's delay strategy in the courts, and it always works for him. Well, here, the longer

he can tie this up in court, the more likely it is that people will turn to some other issues, right?

That something else will come up, people get distracted, they'll forget about this.
