Annamarie Cox is a writer, journalist, senior correspondent for MTV News and she does the

back page interviews for the New York Times magazine.

I've known Annamar for a while, we're pals and she launched a new podcast recently called

with friends like these.

It's about difficult conversations and relationships and politics.

So she and I talked about the idea of being on each other's shows.

Ultimately, we decided that we didn't really want to do interviews, we wanted to simply

talk, have a conversation, same conversation aired on both shows, across over, like when
