Hello, this is Dan and welcome to Mystery Crate and in the next incarnation of Mystery Crate,

we hope to have an assortment of things for you here that are a little stranger, a little

unusual, a little more unusual, a little more unpredictable over time in terms of what

it is that you're getting here.

And one of the things we were doing in the shadowy underbelly at Disney when we were sort

of fighting against the corporate machine is we were doing bits basically where we didn't

explain to you what we were doing.

We didn't explain to you who we were doing it with, but we just did bits as if someone

was a real person and they were not a real person and they would just say more and more

at landage things.

I wanted to run it on ESPN radio.

Mike Ryan would not let us because he thought we thought it'd be a better joke to never tell

you who the people were who were doing it, even if they were famous people.

And we thought that maybe if we put it on ESPN radio, it would get seen by too many people

and then start drawing attention to what was going to become a bit that we were doing

throughout the pandemic with a variety of people.

We were playing it straight and not letting people know that it was a parody.

We stuck to the premise of it.

And if we put it on ESPN radio, we'd have to continue playing straight and my bosses

who weren't paying attention to what we were doing on mystery crate would all of a sudden

potentially start paying attention.
