Summary

In this week's review, I examine what very well be one of King's greatest of all time, Under the Dome.  Not to be confused with the CBS series, the novel is a masterful examination of small towns and politics on both the global and municipal scale. Each week I'll review one entry into bibliography of Stephen King in the chronological order of publication,

0:49.0

and this week I'm looking at one of his bigger ones, a long gestating novel about a small town in Maine,

And secondly, a lot of the buzz was positive.

1:51.6

And as you'll know from my reviews of Lee C. Story, Dumakie and just after Sunset,

1:56.4

under the dome was released during a time when my interest in Stephen King was at a low. Just after Sunset

2:02.7

had underwhelmed me at the time and the existential examinations of life concepts that I hadn't

2:08.7

had any experience with, with Leesie's story and Duma Key, just could not connect with me. So

2:15.8

though the reviews that were coming in were pretty positive surrounding this

2:19.7

particular novel, and though it was being billed as a return to classic king, I personally
