Yeah. Well, we're in the Gospel of Mark, and we're going to explore Chapter 8,

and whenever we enter the Word of God, we start with prayer, so let's bow our hearts.

Father, we thank you for the opportunity to gather together.

We thank you for your presence.

We thank you for your Holy Spirit.

We thank you for your word.

We pray, Father, you would open your word to our hearts and lives, that we might grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and our Savior, in whose name we commit this

hour and ourselves. Amen. Okay. Gospel Mark chapter 8. Feeding the 8,000. I like to say it

that way because it confuses people. Everybody knows what feeding the 4,000. But the point is, you'll discover that that's counting the men only, which was their style. So how many people were really there? Well, you've got to multiply that probably by two, maybe two and a half, depending on how you want to count. So that's an estimate. So this is not to be confused with the feeding of the 5,000 in chapter 6. Now it's typically called the feeding of the 5,000, it probably was 10, and this is the feeding

it was sometimes called the feeding of the 4,000.

I said 8,000 just to keep you on your toes.

There were 5,000 with Jesus only one day there, and here they're with them three days.

There are other details are also varied between these two feedings, what they started with

and what they had left over, plus some other things.

And Jesus' declaration, verse 19, will prove conclusive when we get there.
