Music 8. Welcome to our continuing study of the book of Luke.

As always, before we ever enter into the Word of God, we should always do it with prayer. So let's borrow hearts.

Father, we thank you for this time. We thank you for your word. And we solicit your Holy Spirit

to open our hearts and lives to this word, that we might grow, that we might understand,

that we might appropriate this to ourselves.

As we commit this hour and ourselves into your hands, in the name of Yeshua, our coming king,

indeed. Amen. Yes, indeed. We're in the book of Luke, We've been through chapter 1, where we had the background of the

inunciations, the birth of John the Baptist, the forerunner.

Then we had the birth of Jesus' early years, and then John the Baptist

ministry, and then we examined carefully the genealogy, this unusual family tree,

and some of the mysteries hidden behind

that. And then, of course, we entered Chapter 4, which started the Galamian ministry. Chapter

4 through 9 is this focus on Galilee. From 10 through 19, we'll move towards Jerusalem

for the final climax of his final offer, rejection and sacrifice, and

ultimately his resurrection and ascension in the concluding chapter of this portion of Luke.

So we're now in this particular section that has gently accepted second section of the book.
