Music Well, welcome to session six, studying chapter six, studying chapter six of the book of Luke.

And again, whenever we enter the word of God, we want to do so with prayer.

So let's bar our hearts.

Father, thank you for this book and thank you for this opportunity.

We commit this hour into your hands and ourselves.

We pray that your Holy Spirit would open our hearts and lives to what you have here for us,

that we might learn, that we might grow, that we might be more pleasing in your sight as we commit this hour and ourselves into your hands in the name

of Yeshua, our coming king indeed. Amen. For anybody that has just joined us, I'd like to review

just a little bit to keep ourselves in focus to where

we stand here. In chapter one, of course, we have the enunciations of Mary and Elizabeth,

and then in chapter two, we had the birth of Jesus in those early years, and then we had the

ministry of chapter three of John the Baptist, the baptism of Jesus, and we studied the strange

family tree of our coming king. And then chapter four, we just, we've explored the temptations

by Satan. And that started a major section called the Galilean ministry.

Chapters 4 through 9 is that area. That's where we are now. We later go on towards Jerusalem,

and then his final offer, rejection and sacrifice, and of course the resurrection and ascension
