In today's study, Dr. Misler continues his teaching on the Book of Revelation, chapters 10 and 11.

So chapter 11, verse 1, John says, and there was given me a reed like unto a rod.

And this is like a measuring stick, what this is. Given me a reed like unto a rod. And this is like a measuring strike, what this is.

Given me a reed like unto a rod.

And the angel stood saying, rise, and measure the temple of God and the altar and them that worship therein.

So he's to measure this.

That's a term used throughout the Old Testament, a number of different places.

It's a chivet, a staff that's for measuring in Psalm 64, in Jeremiah 10 and other places.

It's usually measured, the measurements are usually made in anticipation of a chastisement forthcoming.

And judgment does always begin at the house of God. So we have this coming in focus here.

The next verse, he says, well, he says measure the temple of God, the altar. Oh, by the way,

the word temple there is now, that is the temple proper. Not the word, contrary word, that would be the general temple area, that is the temple proper.

Not the contrary word that would be the general temple area.

It's the temple proper is what he's talking about.

Measure the naos of God and the altar and them that worship therein.

But the court, which is without the temple, outside, in other words, leave it out.

In fact, the term actually is cast it out excluded and measure it not for it is given unto the gentiles and the holy city shall they tread underfoot 40 and
