Summary

"Luke Volume II," often called "The Acts of the Apostles," completes the "Pentateuch of the New Testament." The traditional title of this book is, in some respects, a misnomer: it primarily deals with the "acts" of Peter and Paul. It really should be called "The Acts of the Holy Spirit." This review will explore the continuing mysteries of Hag Shavuot in Acts 2; the surprises in the history lesson Stephen gives the Sanhedrin in Acts 7; the controversies dealt with in the Council of Jerusalem in Acts 15; the seamanship details which permitted the discovery of the anchors cut loose in Acts 27, as well as the adventures of Paul and his companions during his missionary journeys. 0:55.9	scripture. The mercy seat we visualize as the lid on top of the Ark of the Covenant, but they're

1:06.2	going to talk about what the scripture hints at as a special gift to the Messiah from Ethiopia.
1:13.6	Is it possible that these relics have a future that most people are not aware of?
1:18.6	There are a number of theories of whatever happened to the Ark of the Covenant.
1:23.6	We know it was in Solomon's Temple.
1:25.6	It was not in any subsequent temple. So for some reason, it disappeared. So there's
1:32.2	several, there's at least six different theories about the Ark of the Covenant. Some scholars think it may have
1:37.3	been taken by Pharaoh Shishak in Second Chronicles 12. Very possible, very possibly. But I don't think so. I'll show you why.
1:46.6	Some think it was hidden by Jeremiah Mount Nebo, and that comes from a rather spurious passage
1:51.1	in 2nd Maccabees 2. And most serious scholars don't give much credence to that for some reasons.
