he fell on his feet and he saw him greatly saying My little daughter lieth at the point of death.

I pray thee come and lay thy hands on her that she may be healed and shall and she shall live.

Now this guy is a rule to the synagogue.

It wasn't easy for him to come publicly to this controversial preacher and ask for his help.

It's a gutsy move, as we would call it.

See, it jeopardized his standing among the Jewish leadership, but he was desperate for obvious reasons.

His daughter was dying. Notice it's a daughter. That's

going to be important later. By the way, you and I always are at the point of death. Did you

know that? We're all going to die on time, at that point of time. And it almost always comes

as a surprise as an interruption of our own presuppositions and priorities.

Well, Jesus went with him, and much people followed him and thronged him.

So visualize this crowd following along as Gyrrhus takes him to where his daughter is dying.

Notice that Jesus always ready to respond to us.

He will already be on his way into our own experiences when we call upon him.
