Summary

The book of Ezekiel contains some of the most incredible prophecies in the Bible, including detailed description of a Nuclear War and the cleanup afterward. Ezekiel ministered to a nation experiencing judgment for their sins, and may have some lessons for us today. Ezekiel's name means "God strengthens, or God will strengthen." Ezekiel is one of the three that were called Captivity Prophets (the other two are Jeremiah and Daniel). Ezekiel never mentions Jeremiah in his writings, but he does mention Daniel three times. 0:51.0	Well, we are in the book of Ezekiel, and we are in chapters 38 and 39.
0:58.5	Many Christians are startled to discover their other chapters in Ezekiel too, but everybody knows about Ezekiel 38 and 39, which is one reason we have such a packed house tonight,
1:04.1	I guess. Okay. But in the outline of Ezekiel, the first three chapters are called the
1:08.7	prophets. Then we had through 24, the God's judgment on Jerusalem.
1:12.2	Then we had this interlude from 25 to 32, which is God's judgment on the surrounding nations,
1:17.4	the Muslim nations.
1:19.0	And that moved us into the upbeat part of the whole program, which is the restoration
1:24.8	of the Jews, the restoration of the nation Israel, starting
1:30.8	from 33 on.
1:33.2	33, 36, we had the whole call back to the land, which led, of course, to the Valley of the
1:39.3	Dry Bones last time.
1:41.2	That was what we talked about, this famous vision that we've watched be fulfilled
1:47.0	in our lifetime. Many of us in this room may remember that prior to May 14th of 48, it was a big
1:54.3	debate. Do you take the Bible literally? Israel's really going to be back in the land? Yeah.
