Summary

Daniel had the most incredible career imaginable; he was transported as a teenage captive to a pagan empire and became the primary confidante to the ruler of Babylon. When Babylonia was taken over by its enemies, he rose to the second or third position in the Persian Empire. There are only two people in the Bible other than Jesus Christ of which no evil is spoken, Joseph and Daniel. The book of Daniel is in two halves: the first six chapters are historical, which deal with the adventures and career of this remarkable man. The second six chapters are some of the most pivotal and important prophecies of the entire Bible. Without a clear understanding of the book of Daniel you will not understand the times in which we live. This study contains 16 hours of verse by verse teachings. It devoured and break in pieces and stamped the residue with the feet of it, and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

1:09.0

Now this fourth beast is going to be the subject of a lot

1:13.6

of discussion. It's very interesting to me that as we get through this chapter you'll discover

1:18.3

that beast number one, two and three was no problem for Daniel. He doesn't even ask many

1:23.3

questions about it. This fourth beast, fortunately, he asks a lot of questions about it.

1:28.3

And we're very grateful for that because this is the one we're interested in.

1:31.3

They had a lot of personal interest here.

1:34.3

It's also interesting that the previous three beasts, he at least used animals as sort of an idiom to talk about them.

1:41.3

You know, a winged lion and a bear and whatever.

1:45.0

He can't even come up with any kind of a relevant animal idiom here.

1:53.0

He just calls it the great and terrible beast, the dreadful and terrible beast, strong exceedingly.

1:58.0

It's interesting to me that it had iron teeth, that to me sounds like a linkage to

2:02.4

the one in Daniel 2, and we'll take a look at that in a minute. It devoured and break in pieces

2:08.9

and stamped the residue with the feet of it, and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before.

2:17.1

Now, you say, wait a minute, how was it diverse?
