In today's study, Chuck continues his teaching on the Book of Daniel Daniel verse 7.

After this, I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible and strong exceedingly, and it had great iron teeth.

It devoured and break in pieces and stamped the residue with the feet of it, and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

Now this fourth beast is going to be the subject of a lot

of discussion. It's very interesting to me that as we get through this chapter you'll discover

that beast number one, two and three was no problem for Daniel. He doesn't even ask many

questions about it. This fourth beast, fortunately, he asks a lot of questions about it.

And we're very grateful for that because this is the one we're interested in.

They had a lot of personal interest here.

It's also interesting that the previous three beasts, he at least used animals as sort of an idiom to talk about them.

You know, a winged lion and a bear and whatever.

He can't even come up with any kind of a relevant animal idiom here.

He just calls it the great and terrible beast, the dreadful and terrible beast, strong exceedingly.

It's interesting to me that it had iron teeth, that to me sounds like a linkage to

the one in Daniel 2, and we'll take a look at that in a minute. It devoured and break in pieces

and stamped the residue with the feet of it, and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before.
